I like everything about the pocketbook but the atrocious colors, I’m not into a mainly white pocketbook. . For me, it would work at a beach. It’s the same as pictured but I received it as a gift. Well made but I prefer a more earthy colors that can be used in all seasons. The best aspect is the multiple zippered compartments.This will be my summer every day purse. It is just perfect for all I need to carry.I've been a big Kipling fan for years. This is one of the prettiest patterns they've ever put out. Everyone will stop and ask you where you got it, it's a show stopper. The Alvar is so easy to use and I have other Alvars in different colors,they are my favorite model. Two large compartments that open on top, inside the main section is a zippered pocket, two pen holders, one pocket I keep glasses in and another pocket that hold my ipod or cell phone. On the front of the bag is two more zippered compartments. When I'm driving I don't have to even take my eyes off the road to look for something, just reach in a grab it. No digging around, you know right where things are. I also prefer the Alvar because it isn't a deep bag so when wearing the shoulder strap you don't have some fat bulky bag resting against your side. The strap is so adjustable you can carry it as a purse, lengthen it for a shoulder bag or lengthen it more for a cross over bag. Kipling bags can be washed if they get soiled, they last for just short of forever and everything from the quality of the fabric to the zippers is top notch, made to last. It is even prettier in person than the picture, a spring and summer must have :-) If you look around on the web you won't find a better price than here on Amazon, I've looked.I really like this purse for the right amount of pockets - not so many that organization becomes disorganized. I also love the pattern with all the colors. I can change outfits without having to worry about matching the colors of my clothes. The size is not too big and not too small to carry the essentials and a bit more. Kipling bags are sturdy and the straps are adjustable.I actually bought this to use as a seashell collecting bag! It's great b/c I can put phone and chapstick in other pockets to protect from sand and sea. Also, as it gets heavier it slings nicely to reduce strain on my back and shoulders. Great price too!I love this purse! It has 2 zipper pockets on the top that are separate. Nothing can slip between spaces. I am able to keep everything of importance (wallet, checkbook, eye glass case and makeup in the 2. The pockets are tall enough that everything fits upright so I can just grab, let's say, my sunglasses, and go. The 2 side zipper pockets are perfect. I keep my cell in the middle one and little "stuff" like life savers and lip gloss in the bottom one. I wish it had a key hook inside, but that is the only negative I can come up with.Love Kipling bags. The quality is very, very good. This is my third one. I liked the first one so much I purchased two more in different colors. This bag has everything I could want in a bag without over doing it. The compartments are just the right size, the bag is lightweight yet sturdy and the zippers open with ease. I hope someday I will own this bag in every color! This particular bag is very beautiful with the greens and blues . The shipping on this bag was super, super fast! I think they knew I was going to order it and already packed it up!I bought my first Kipling Alvar purse last year with the intention of using it on a trip. The zippered compartments are PERFECT for keeping things in order - passport, pen, gum, brush, etc, etc. I got so used to using it that it became my Go To purse after I returned. I have lots of fashionable purses, but this one has become so easy and convenient to use that when I saw this floral pattern, I knew I had to get another one. Kipling fabrics are so durable and easy to keep clean. I highly recommend.Love this bag have been a fan if Kipling for a while they are strong but lightweight,the zips are great they glide open.the crossbody strap is long enough for me(i’m 6ft) and easy to adjust this is the 4th bag i’ve Purchased through the global collection and arrived from the states very quickly loads of room a nice cheery colour for these cold damp days well up here in ???????I really liked the colours in the bag when I saw it online, but sadly on delivery it was disappointing and very overpricedLovely bag just the right size and lots of compartments
