Excuse the silly Macgyver padding I added, I had leftover padded straps from a stroller and car seat belt. One is foam and the other is fake sherpa with Velcro closure so I didn’t have to tape or sew. It is expensive but honestly, the mobility and ventilation is worth it. I was cheap but I’m sure you can be creative with padding such as bike handlebar’s foam tape, baby edge protector tape, medical adhesive foam, cute little bunnies, etc...
